Do you remember the last scene of the movie “Braveheart”? “Robert the Bruce” was able to declare Scotland in 1314 as to be independent.
So Allan MacDonald wrote a masterpiece about this historical event for orchestra and traditional Scottish Instruments. On April 9 2016 this piece will be performed for the first time in Germany (Hofheim/Ts.) due to Thomas Zöller, who invited grand names from the Scottish Folk Scene.
